What to expect:
Each member of your party will have a flight in a two seat glider with a qualified
instructor. The glider will be launched by winch and the flight will last for
around 5 or 6 minutes. You will be encouraged to fly the glider yourself!
You should arrive at the gliding club as close to 6.00 pm as possible. Flying
will start at around 6.30 pm and continue until everyone has flown or until
dark. We fly people in the order in which they arrive and sign the club membership
form.
If time and daylight allows, second flights will be available for anyone that
wishes to have another go. |

What to wear:
Even at the height of Summer an airfield can be an exposed and cool place, so wear warm loose
fitting clothing. (Tight skirts are very impractical when climbing into a
glider!). Jeans, jumpers and trainers are the best. Bring a light waterproof
too, just in case. |
After Flying:
Our clubhouse and bar will be open, but alcohol will not be served to anyone intending to fly,
prior to flying. When all flying has finished then everyone can get together
and recount the experiences of the evening.

Numbers in group:
The minimum number for any group is ten people. However we may ask you to book small groups
into our low season - April May and September Maximum numbers depend upon the
time of year but during high summer we can usually manage up to thirty-five
people. In spring or autumn that number is reduced to around twenty.

What happens if the weather is poor?
If we have to cancel your evening or if only a few people fly due to
bad weather then we can reschedule your visit for another date. We always keep
Mondays vacant throughout the year to allow us to do this. We cannot fly if it
is foggy, constant heavy rain or very strong winds.
